Detroit is a vibrant city of neighborhoods, all independent but all reliant on each other to flourish and be safe havens for its inhabitants. To be a successful city, Citizens for Detroit's Future believes that its elected officials must be held accountable for its actions or its failure to act when the issues vital to those neighborhoods and the people who live within them are at stake. Citizens for Detroit's Future is a concerned community based organization composed of multiple community and civic groups as well as individuals who deeply love and care for the great city we call Detroit. Our purpose is to excite our citizens to participate in local government and hold our officials accountable as we all seek to revitalize the city for all of its residents

Thank you for coming to our donation page designed to raise the funds to take the Detroit Election Commission to court to order to make them to do their job. The law required that they place the people’s Voter Initiative on the election ballot but they simply refused to do so. While our action should not have been necessary, city officials make the lawsuit necessary. Thank you for your help and come back to our web site to keep you informed as the people seek justice.
